What you do here at CWJC is resurrect people.
What you do here at CWJC is resurrect people. You give them new life. You give them hope.

CWJC is different.
This is different from any GED program I’ve ever attended. I never believed learning could be fun, but I am doing so well in the math. This lady is a good teacher, and these people at CWJC really care about me.

CWJC encouraged me.
I’ve learned that if I transform my mind, I can transform my life. I’m not going to quit. You have encouraged me to keep trying, and you are the only ones that give me encouragement.

CWJC helped me persevere.
Moving on up sure is hard, but I’m still working at Baylor. I’m in a bigger house. Someone gave us a piano, and my daughter is taking piano lessons now.

CWJC gave me a reason to live.
I’m over 60 years old and had never graduated from anything until I came to CWJC. I love my job and have a reason to live now.

CWJC stayed with me.
I was in the first CWJC class. They have stayed with me all these years. They helped me get a good job, and I can take care of myself now.

CWJC helped me do what I never thought I could.
I came to CWJC six months out of prison. I’ve now been places I never thought I would go and am doing things I never thought I could do. I’m now the manager of Second Chance, the resale store for Family Abuse Center, and really like my job.

The people at CWJC never judged me.
Before CWJC, I was headed on the road to nowhere. The people at CWJC never judged me about my situation. I now have a job in a pediatrician’s office and am attending MCC. Without CWJC I wouldn’t be where I am today.

CWJC gave me confidence.
The people at CWJC gave me the confidence to go to school. I attend MCC on the Presidential Scholarship and plan to get my degree in accounting. I’m the first person in my family to go to college. I’m happy I can set an example for my children to go to college.

CWJC believed in me.
The staff and volunteers at CWJC were the first people to ever say to me, ‘I believe in you.’ The language they spoke was foreign to me because no one had ever encouraged me. Now I believe in myself and am serving as the Alumni Coordinator for Christian Women’s Job Corps.
