During "graduation" I listened as each woman spoke highly of the loving, nurturing environment she had experienced during her time at CWJC. Love is contagious and I found myself yearning to be a part of this program in whatever way I could. The women are a blessing to work with, each bringing their own gift of compassion, humor, and intelligence. They are courageous and resilient and it is my privilege to teach and be taught by them. – Linda

As a Community Counselor Intern who worked with underprivileged population – mainly women- I have seen the immense need for the type of education and support CWJC is offering.

It has been my honor to walk with the mereas as I seek to give them tools in setting healthy boundaries and encourage them to let the good in and the bad out. Together with the leaders, the other teachers and mentors at CWJC, we are empowering the mereas to tap into their strengths and to recognize and own them as such. Together we are offering the mereas a safe environment as they try their wings of new thoughts, behavior, and attitudes on their way of becoming who God created them to be.

We do not see the end result, but then again, there is no end result for any of us as long as we live. Many of the mereas’ goal is to break a cycle of generational disfunction. This cause is "larger than life". To be a part of that – this is the fact that motivates me the most. – Laura

Teaching at CWJC is a rewarding experience. Each class of women is so unique and God working in their lives is so evident. Seeing the changes in the women makes me want to continue helping them improve their computer skills. It is a true blessing! – Karen

I can see the difference

There are many organizations and entities trying to get my time and my money, saying that they are doing a good thing. Well… with CWJC, I can see the difference that my time and money is making. I can see real people, real lives being given an opportunity to seek truth for themselves of who they are (God’s Child), how loved they are (by God and God’s children), that they do matter and God has given the skills and resources they need to be successful (defined many ways, but mostly defined as living a life pleasing to God). I want to know that the investment of my time and money are making a difference and with CWJC, I can see lives being changed, even if it is only that a person believes in themself a little more and realizes how real God is!! No one besides the women going through the program are receiving anything from CWJC, except for the wonderful blessing of watching lives change. God must be real for a program like CWJC to exist. It’s only purpose is to effect lives of ladies and help them to have a relationship with God and help them become more of who God has for them. I see an immediate return (multifold) on my investment. The greatest gift is the HUGE blessing I receive by just being a small part of CWJC. – Gail
